SUNDAY RUNDOWN - THAT'S WHAT SHE READ

Another week down. Life just keeps on going doesn't it. I don't have many updates this week to be honest. I'm trying to turn my life around by not being so financially irresponsible so I'm on a full buying ban unless absolutely necessary. Of course, my idea of absolutely necessary seems wildly different to most peoples but I'll get better. I'm also getting better at reading during my normal week. I'm not sure if it's down to the reading material or just because I'm finally out of my slump but something's working. I'm loving it. Maybe I can finally start reducing the size of my TBR? I mean it's doubtful if my past is anything to go for but, as Aragorn says, "there is always hope".
Currently Reading
  • The Fireman by Joe Hill
This is a fairly long book so I still have a considerable way to go. However, it's an easy read that I'm really enjoying. Hill is one of those writers who can take a really interesting idea and make it readable whilst still keeping it exciting. I hope this keeps being as good but I've heard that it starts to decline as the novel goes on. We'll see.

Recently Purchased
  • Vintage Penguin books
I'm being really strict with my spending this week. I need to stop buying books and, for the most part, I've been pretty good. I've splurged on a few vintage penguin bundles because I just can't get enough. Plus, in one bundle I got 9 classic green Penguins books for less than £1 each. You can't say fairer than that, right?

Recently Watched
  • Netflix binges: Girlboss, How to Get Away With Murder, Mad Men
I finished Girlboss this week and I've finally decided why it bugs me so much. Although, it's something I want to talk about on Tuesday so you'll have to wait. After that I realised that the second series of How to get away with murder was finally on UK Netflix so I watched the whole thing yesterday. I love that show. Although, I've found it a bit weird ever since I realised that Frank is actually Ben from Buffy. Not great. Today I started season 6 of Mad Men which I never managed to see after Netflix stopped me cheating it into giving me the US selection of shows. Those selfish bastards. My lust for Jon Hamm is running deeper at the moment. It's bad guys.
